Peter Brockers began his sporting career as an amateur boxer with the police in Mönchengladbach
at the age of 16.
At 18 years he began Judo and reached 1^st Kyu and in 1968 attend a course of aikido under
M. Mushezuki and reached 6^th Kyu.

Peter Brockers trained with the Karate Dojo Hildesheim during 1965 to 1967 whilst
enjoying his 2 years of military service.
From 1968 to 1970 he was the technical director of the Karate Associations for the
North Rhine Westphalian area of Germany.
He was successful in training members to join the german national team in 1968 to fight
against the japanese in Frankfurt.
He worked 8 years as coach for the Bunkyo Bonn and he has been licensed as a referee since 1968.

Throughout his 37 years as a karateka he has trained over 1300 students of which 30 have attained
their Dan grading. His son Markus achieved his 1^st Dan at the age of 16 which at the time made him
to the youngest blackbelt in Germany.

During 1970 to 1972 he trained in Japan under Grand Master Hirokazu Kanazawa (9^th Dan) and
learnt most of his Karate knowledge and experience. During this period he trained what has become
known as the best Karate school in the world - Takushoku Dai University in Tokyo, Japan.
He became an Instructor to the Japan Karate Association (JKA) and was a member of the Takushoku
Dai University Team between this period and won the japanese Gaijin Championship in Kumite in 1972.

He reached 2^nd place in senior Kumite in 1978 in Bournemouth, England.

In 1980 he was elected the team coach of the Dako with licenses as a referee and to grade in Kobudo.

1985 to 1988 saw him as chief trainer to Shotokan Karate of Ibiza Formentura, Menorca and Majorca.

In 1988 he achieved the qualification of international referee.

In 1989 he was elected Vice President of the Dako and Regional Director IMAF and in
1993 entered the DJB for North Rhine Westphalia.

1994 saw him appointed as chief trainer for the British Shotokan Karate Union for all their
british members in Germany.
1995 saw him appointed as chairman of the Shotokan Karate Kyogi of United Nations
followed in 1996 he took on the job of Representative for the Funakoshi Shotokan Karate
